I. Introduction

The Tactical Variable Fighter (more commonly known as the Veritech Fighter [VF]) is one of the greatest achievements in engineering in the 21st century. Developed by Phoenix Corporation scientist Dr. Gregory Lang, the Variable Fighter was designed to be the most versatile weapons system ever developed. As a stark contrast to the power of the UESI's mobile suit corps, the Variable Fighter was designed to be an all-environment weapons system that can be inserted in any military environment successfully. The Variable Fighter is the symbol of the NDI's military power and such legendary designs as the VF-26 Starblade are among the most recognizable mecha in the Earth Sphere.
